FAQ

Summer chic / formal, but not black tie. Since Galicia can be warm in July, we recommend breathable fabrics: linen suits, lightweight tailoring, or long, airy, flowy dresses.

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be on grass, so block heels, wedges, or flats will be much more comfortable than stilettos. If you want inspiration, here is our Pinterest board.

If you are taking the shuttle, it will drop guests at the bottom of the hill because the streets near Rectoral de Cobres are narrow. From there, there is a short but steep 3–5 minute walk up to the venue.

If you are wearing high heels, you may want to bring a pair of flats for the walk. If you are driving, this should not be an issue because the parking lot is closer to the venue.

Please check the lodging page for our recommendations.

We recommend staying in Santiago de Compostela, even though the wedding venue is about an hour away. Santiago is where we live, and we’d love for you to enjoy our city while you’re here.

We will miss you, but please still submit your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Check the travel page; it has much more information about Santiago, Galicia, and ideas for things to do while you’re here.

Please check the schedule page for the full transportation details. We will provide buses to and from the venue.

If you miss the bus, you will need to find another way to arrive on time, and a taxi is probably the best option. Uber is not available in Santiago, but Spain has a similar app called Cabify. We recommend downloading it and making sure it works at least a day before the wedding, just in case.

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. When you RSVP, you can tell us about any dietary restrictions or preferences. This does not mean you will be restricted from eating anything else.

There will be passed food as well as food stations, so you can choose what works for you. Please be as specific as possible, for example: “I eat fish, but not shellfish.”

Galicia has its own little microclimate. It should not rain, but it could. Even if it does rain, it is usually still quite warm in July.

Bring some layers for nighttime and for the rest of your trip — for example, a jean jacket or pants for non-wedding evenings. Worst case, there are plenty of shops nearby. Galicia is home to Zara, after all.
